The hot season is around the corner. Is your ventilation system fully prepared?

It is critical to inspect the ventilation system in advance before summer arrives.

As temperatures keep rising, livestock farms are about to enter the most challenging hot season of the year. For modern farming, summer management is not only related to animal welfare, but also directly affects production performance and economic benefits.

In intensive breeding environments, animals continuously generate massive heat. When the ambient temperature climbs, natural heat dissipation alone is often insufficient. If the ventilation system malfunctions, the temperature and humidity inside the housing will rise rapidly, increasing the risk of heat stress in animals. This will further reduce feed intake and impair growth and production performance.

Therefore, we recommend farms conduct a full inspection and maintenance of the ventilation system prior to the official arrival of summer, covering the following items:

1.Check the operating condition of fans to ensure stable and efficient operation.

2.Inspect air inlets and regulating mechanisms to guarantee flexible opening and sound sealing.

3.Remove dust and debris from fans, air inlets and air ducts to prevent reduced ventilation efficiency.

4.Test sensors and control systems to ensure accurate monitoring of temperature, humidity and other parameters.

5.Review ventilation control programs and set parameters to enable the system to automatically adjust airflow according to environmental changes.

Pre-inspection and maintenance can not only improve equipment operating efficiency, but also help farms cope with upcoming hot weather with ease, creating a stable and comfortable growing environment for animals.
